The 2025 Summer Junior Chess Competition was held Sunday 5th January at Perth Modern School and attracted 33 participants. The time control for all games was 25min+3sec which is much longer than what many of the participants are used to. However they all adapted very well and played some long hard fought games.

The Champion Division was convincingly won by Aidan Malik who finished undefeated with a score of 6.5 out of 7. Second place went to Jet Mahandis who scored 5.5.
