Do you want to run an event to determine who the best chess players in your school are? Does your chess club want to run an open tournament on a weekend to raise some extra funds? Lakner Chess offers a range of choices tailored to your specific needs. We can provide the sets, boards, timers, pairing software, projector, screen, and an experienced arbiter to run the event. All you need is a suitably sized room with sufficient tables and chairs, and we'll do the rest!
Short Events
Want your event completed quickly? We can provide a 7 round Blitz tournament in 2 hours.
Want your players to have more time to think? Simple, we increase the time on the clocks to perfectly fit the duration of the playing session.
Full-Day Events
You can hire Lakner Chess for 6, 8 or even as many as 10 hours at a time. Let us know how many rounds you want, or what time control you want on the clock, and we'll run the event perfectly to your specifications.
Multi-Day Events
Want your chess players to play 3 games per day over 3 separate days? Or 2 games per day once a week for 6 weeks? Lakner Chess will try to work around your schedule and provide you with exactly what you need.
Lakner Chess will provide:
- Use of chess sets, chess boards and chess timers.
- Use of a laptop with pairing software.
- An experienced Arbiter to run the event.
- Projector and screen. (If required)
The service does not include:
- Venue
- Furniture.
- Prizes.
