2025 Summer Junior Chess Competition

VENUE
Perth Modern School, Parsons Building Lecture Theatre.
90 Roberts Road,  Subiaco WA 6008.

FORMAT
7 Round Swiss with a time control of 25 minutes on the clock + 3 second increment.

There will be four events run simultaneously in separate divisions:

Novice Division (U600 rating)

Intermediate Division (U900 rating)

Advanced Division (U1200 rating)

Champion Division (Open to anyone)

COST
$49.50 per player.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to anyone under the age of 18.

PRIZES

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division. 

Merit trophies for outstanding performances.

SCHEDULE
Participants should arrive at 9:00am for check-in.
The event concludes at approximately 5:30pm.

Venue Opens - 8:30am                                           Round 4 - 1:00pm

Check-in - 9:00am                                                    Round 5 - 2:00pm

Introductions - 9:15am                                          Round 6 - 3:00pm

Round 1 - 9:30am                                                     Round 7 - 4:00pm

Round 2 - 10:30am                                                   Playoffs (If needed) - 5:00pm

Round 3 - 11:30am                                                   Prize Giving - 5:15pm    

Lunch Break - 12:30pm                                          Finish - 5:30pm
