Event 1 Results
The first event of the 2024 Perth Junior Speed Chess League was held Sunday 20th October at Perth Modern School and attracted 42 participants.
The participants each played 9 games in a very close and hard fought competition. For many of the players, this was their first ever chess tournament and everyone adapted well to playing under strict tournament rules for the first time.
The event was won by Tian Teh with an impressive 8 points, a full point ahead of Ethan Page and Aidan Malik who tied for second place each scoring 7. Ezra Levine took 4th place with 6.5 points, just ahead of Lucien Lim, Logan Absolom, Albert Chen, Daniel Luong and Liam Lougheed who tied for 5th place with a score of 6.

1st place in the Open Division: Tian Teh - received a trophy.
2nd place in the Open Division: Ethan Page - received a medal.
3rd place in the Open Division: Ezra Levine - received a medal.
1st place in the Intermediate Division: Aidan Malik - received a trophy.
