The second event of the 2024 Perth Junior Speed Chess League was held Sunday 27th October at Perth Modern School and attracted 46 participants.
There were 15 participants rated over 1000, making this an extremely strong event. The games on the top boards were very tough, and the final results weren't clear until after the final round.
The event was won by Nithuli Liyanage with a score of 7.5 points, only half a point ahead of Aidan Malik and Quang Minh Le who tied for second place each scoring 7. 4th place was shared by Albert Chen and Akash Ashok with a score of 6.5 points. Aidan was leading the tournament the entire day and only lost his lead in the final round by losing to Quang Minh. This allowed Nithuli to leapfrog over him and take the win.

2nd place in the Intermediate Division: Anay Sharma - received a medal.
3rd place in the Intermediate Division: Pranav Balasubramaniam - received a medal.
1st place in the Novice Division: Jacob Thomas - received a trophy.
=2nd place in the Novice Division: Varren Wong - received a medal.
=2nd place in the Novice Division: Jordan Thomas - received a medal.
3rd place in the Novice Division: Asher Koppolu - received a medal.
